Why Outpouring?

We love a good gift box. We love to give gifts that are personalized to the recipient. We started our first box as a grief box because life is hard and we see you. Sometime there are no words when you see a friend or loved one struggling, there are no fun happy gifts that let them know they are seen and you truly care. And while we have many ideas for other boxes, this is the foundation of what we hope to grow from.

As I mature in age, I become more aware of how short life truly is. The days don't last as long as they did ten years ago, and I am sure they are longer than they will be ten years from now. As I watch my children grow, my husband bald (😂), and the calendar flip over from year to year, I think, "Why not?" Why not go on this crazy adventure with a friend whom I adore? Why not step forward in faith, trusting God has me—He has something new and exciting for me even in my maturity. Why not show my girls and son that life only gets better as the years progress?

As I reflect on the "why" of starting this business, my heart jumps for joy at the possibilities of what tomorrow holds. My smile expands at the thought of spending time with Joanie, a person who loves BIG, laughs often, and shares her vision, wisdom, and knowledge with ease. My mommy heart swoons as my girls declare their pride, and my son gets to see with his own eyes that although there may be grey, God's not done. So as I consider "why," I guess my answer is "why not."

In my professional journey, I often felt like I hadn't found my true calling. Despite sensing that I had more to offer, I frequently felt stuck. Starting my own business was a recurring thought, but I was unsure of the direction and hesitant to walk this path alone. When I was younger, I lacked the confidence to take that leap. Now, as a parent, I want to inspire my children to explore various opportunities without fear and to be able to take risks and step out of the box.

When Natasha and I met a few years ago, our connection was instant. When she proposed starting a business together, I was immediately on board. Gift boxes became our focus because we both love giving personalized gifts. Our journey began with the grief box, recognizing that sometimes flowers aren’t enough to convey our deepest sentiments. Life can be challenging, and I want people to feel seen and not have to hide when they don't have it 'all together'. The verse Romans 12:15 resonated deeply with us: "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." Our mission is to celebrate with you in joyful times and support you through life's difficulties. Whatever the season, we are here to walk alongside you.
